Artist Talks for Young Audiences: Odili Donald Odita

As part of ICA Miami’s Artist Talks for Young Audiences series of youth-led conversations with artists, Youth Coordinator Itzel Basualdo moderates a conversation between artist Odili Donald Odita and students from the Young Artists Initiative program. Odili Donald Odita (b.1966, Enugu, Nigeria) is an artist who explores abstraction through color and pattern, often considering the legacies of American color field painting and West African textiles, among other references. Odita’s latest installation, Mamba Negra (2019), is on view in the Margot and George Greig Stairwell at ICA Miami.
