Join ICA Miami for a special virtual Family Day celebrating Miami’s Caribbean heritage with a special screening of Vanille (2020, dir. Guillaume Lorin)! As part of the museum’s ongoing commitment to connect communities to contemporary art, ICA Miami will also present a selection of work created by student artists in our community engagement program, ICA Narratives, as well as URGENT, Inc. This program is free and available to the public for 24 hours beginning Sunday, May 16 at 10am.

URGENT, Inc. presents an original youth-led animated short film produced by young artists enrolled in the Virtual FACE Camp. Led by industry professional Chivas Davis, FACE stands for Film Arts Culture Entrepreneurship.

“ABBE: A Beautiful Black Entrepreneur” is a youth-led comic adaptation produced by URGENT, Inc.’s Rites of Passage Media Project. This comic addresses bullying from a youth perspective with a call to incorporate more Black history education in schools.
