Family Day May 2015

Sat, Jun 6, 2015

Free admission!

ICA Miami family day provides children and adults the opportunity to interact with local artists through hands on activities that allow participants to have a better understanding of contemporary art.

This family day will focus on works from artist Ryan Sullivan in the main gallery and from Miami-based collective and artist-run gallery Guccivuitton, an atrium exhibition featuring the work of over 25 artists working across mediums, including painting, sculpture and video.

Activities include:

  • Storytelling- A children’s storyteller will talk about painting and contemporary art with families in a storytelling fashion

  • Exhibition I Spy– Interactive exhibition game for families that will engage participants with the artwork throughout the galleries

  • Be a curator! – Children will have the opportunity to “curate” their own exhibition using found objects and be photographed with their “exhibition”

  • Abstract Art Activity – families will have the opportunity to create their own individual abstract paintings using fabric and other materials
