ICA Miami is looking for an experienced teaching artist for its upcoming season of ICA Narratives. For more information, please click here.

The theme of identity is used as a platform to allow participants to feel empowered and express their own voice in their creative work. The objective of the projects created under this theme is to provide participants with the tools and framework to think critically about themselves, their ability to express themselves and their place in the world around them.

The following will be required of the selected artist:

Submit to a criminal background check

Attend one-day workshop on classroom management

Be available for approximately two 10-week sessions during the course of the program for approximately 15 hours a week.

Work with Program Coordinators prior to the start of the program to develop project goals, performance measures, and daily lesson plans

Work with Program Coordinators to implement program as scheduled

Complete daily report during the course of the program

Assist staff with the curating and installation of the program exhibition

Attend program exhibition opening and present hands on art making activities related to work during selected Family Day.
