Summer Portfolio Prep 2022: High School Application
ICA Miami’s two-week High School Portfolio Prep Program is designed for students ages 14 and up who are interested in furthering their arts education. Taught by museum professionals and college mentors, this two-week online program aims to improve students’ college-readiness skills, such as advanced portfolio development, artwork digitization, new media awareness, and studio best practices. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to engage with artists who have exhibited at ICA Miami.
Schedule
Students will meet with instructors for two weeks beginning June 20 through July 1, 2022, Monday through Friday from 1–5pm.
Week 1 consists of guided lectures introducing students to new media, the art of crafting an artist statement, and the basics of documentation, as well as virtual studio visits with established local artists.
Week 2 will be devoted to portfolio development and independent projects.
