Summer Portfolio Prep 2023: Application
Portfolio Prep is a two-week intensive summer course designed to prepare students ages 11 to 15 who intend to apply to magnet and charter arts schools.
ICA Miami portfolio prep prepares students for the competitive art school application process through sketchbook building exercises, skill-based lessons on technique, and creating and selecting work for personal portfolios. Students will review foundational drawing and observational skills as well as experiment with different mediums. The program also includes opportunities for field trips.
Throughout the program, instructors provide an overview of art magnet schools’ application and audition requirements as well as assist participants to understand the level of performance expected if accepted.
This course is designed for students with an existing portfolio of work and is not intended to serve as an introductory technical course in art. ICA Miami is not affiliated with any school and participation in this course does not guarantee admission to any magnet or charter school.
Schedule and Requirements
Students will meet with instructors at ICA Miami for two weeks beginning Friday, June 12-23 from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. No class on June 19th.

Fee: $200 for two weeks
