This fall, the Art and Research Center seminar focuses on “Ecologies of War” to consider the ways in which contemporary militarism and apparatuses of warfare produce material and spectral experience of war that permeate ecological and affective realms. Bringing together artist and scholarly perspectives, this 3-week VIRTUAL seminar series will explore the apparatuses and mediums that sustain warfare, the way in which warfare engenders relations between human and non-human entities, the uncertain and perpetual temporalities of ongoing militarism, and the overlapping concerns of wartime violence and climate crisis.
