ICA Miami members are invited to join conservators Rustin Levenson and Oliver Watkiss from Art Care Conservation for a discussion on the restoration process of works by Donald Judd. This event is free for all ICA Members with required RSVP.

Before Donald Judd’s paintings could be shown at ICA Miami, the works required professional care by art conservators. Early in his career, Judd did not have the resources to purchase sturdy stretchers; many of the stretchers were no longer supporting the canvas adequately. Several of the works were also damaged by water. Levenson and Watkis will discuss the conservation process key to restoring these historic works, as well as the materials and techniques of Donald Judd.
