Eric-Paul Riege: Hólǫ́–it xistz Durational Performance
In conjunction with the interdisciplinary artist’s first solo museum project, “Hólǫ́—it xistz,” Eric-Paul Riege will stage a durational performance continuing a series of “weaving dances” inspired by the Diné (Navajo) word hólǫ, the third person verb for something to be or exist.
“My work comes together with my body in performances. They are weavings. A storytelling of the process of weaving. I become the characters in that story: the weaver, the weaving, the warp, the weft, the wool, the comb, the baton, the loom, the sheep, the spider. I exist within them as they exist in me with my body as the composer.”
This performance is free with RSVP.
