Celebrate the opening of a new student exhibition featuring work from our youth outreach program, ICA Narratives!

Family Day is a free event welcoming children of all abilities to engage in artmaking, interactive storytelling, and other special activities at ICA Miami. This month’s Family Day features our special exhibition opening by student artists in the ICA Narratives community outreach program and activities inspired by the exhibition UPROOTED.

This Spring 2024 semester students were led by Isabella Marie Garcia in a series of alternative photography workshops that spoke and reflected on the concept of identity as affected by displacement in analyzing immigration via exile, gentrification in their neighborhoods, race and gender-based systemic issues, and ecological concerns.

“Uprooted” is curated and organized by Isabella Marie Garcia, Teaching Artist and Jessica Helsinger, Narratives Site Coordinator.

Student Show on view \ Saturday, April 20th, 2024 – Sunday, April 28th, 2024
