Family Day Aug 2016
At Family Day, ICA Miami and the Miami Design District invite families to spend an afternoon exploring the cultural offerings of our museum and the surrounding neighborhood. Families are welcome to share in the experience of ICA Miami’s experimental programming which promote creativity and critical thinking, as well as explore the dynamic Miami Design District.
Family Day is every second Sunday of the month unless stated otherwise. Family Day is free and open to the public.

Back to School Celebration!
Sunday, August 14, 1–3pm
Activities:
- Laura Lima Inspired Activity: Families and children will create 2-D and 3-D structures using wood and styrofoam. Participants will challenge their design skills by intertwining yarn similar in style to Laura Lima‘s recent site-specific installation, “The Inverse.”
- Renaud Jerez Inspired Activity: Participants will create sculptures resembling human shapes and forms, employing materials and processes used by Renaud Jerez in his site-specific installation currently on view at ICA Miami!
- Contemporary Art Story Time: Join teaching artist Stephen Kaiser as he leads an interactive story time based on the work of contemporary artist Renaud Jerez.
- Barefoot Books: Barefoot Books will present a special series of family books.
Cool down with complimentary ZICO Coconut Water, along with beats by DJ Angel. Complimentary parking is available at City View and Palm Court Garages located on NE 38th Street between North Miami Avenue and NE 2nd Avenue. Vouchers available at the event.
