Family Sundays at ICA Miami: Art making
ICA Miami’s Family Sundays series welcomes children of all abilities to engage in contemporary art through a variety of adapted activities connecting to the museum’s exhibitions. The free, 1-hour workshops engage families in either storytelling, movement, or art-making weekly. These workshops are appropriate for ages 7 and under.
Using a variety of different materials, families will create layered geometric collages inspired by pioneering feminist artist Miriam Schapiro. Participants will learn about Schapiro’s role in the Pattern and Decoration movement while expressing themselves through color and form. Taught by Halley Bohm.
