Celebrate First Fridays at ICA Miami with free virtual performances by Egyptian-Iranian performer Lafawndah ft. London musician Trusfall, Miami-based musician Tama Gucci (live) and Haitian-American musician, DJ, producer Bapari (DJ set). This virtual presentation is free and open to the public and is presented by the museum’s Innovation Partner, MINI.

About Lafawndah and Trustfall

Lafawndah’s journey to her current incarnation as a devotional pop polymath has wound as unpredictably as her compositional style. The ceaseless artist returns in 2020 with The Fifth Season, due later this year on Parisian label Latency. In contrast to the precision-tuned industrial productions of debut album ‘Ancestor Boy’, her second album breathes a different kind of volatility, inviting a new degree of spontaneity into her process.

TRUSTFALL is a London based musician, artist and filmmaker. Mentored under avant-garde composer and artist William Basinski and the late cultural theorist Mark Fisher, his tensely-wound pop songs are characterized by a classical sense of construction coupled with an abstract, ghostly k-funk, deeply rooted in the contemporary experience.

About Tama Gucci

A model and former fixture of Miami’s queer underground music scene, Kymani Floyd (PKA Tama Gucci) infuses soulful R&B and lo-fi production with uniquely “Internet” aesthetics that has won the attention of a global audience.

About Bapari

Haitian-American musician, DJ and producer Bapari is currently based in Los Angeles. She is the host of monthly show Puffy on NTS Radio.
