ICA Miami’s two-week Virtual Portfolio Prep Program is developed for students 14 and up interested in furthering their arts education. Taught by museum professionals and college mentors, this two-week online program will equip participants with college readiness skills, such as advanced portfolio development and best practices on how to digitize their work. Students will be introduced to new media and have the opportunity to engage with artists who have exhibited at ICA Miami. Throughout the two-week program, students will meet with instructors via Zoom Monday-Friday, 1-5pm.


Session dates

Monday–Friday, June 21—July 2 from 1-5pm

Week 1 program will consist of guided lectures introducing students to alternative media, writing an artist statement, the basics of documentation, and virtual studio visits with established local artists. Week 2 will be devoted to portfolio development and independent projects.
