Participants in the Art of Being workshop will create a mixed-media collage painting inspired by Lewis’s artistic process. Families will explore the steps behind the work, from learning about and photographing a subject, to transforming photos through collage, developing color, layering paint and materials, and using light, texture, and glitter to bring the final composition together.

Know Before You Go

Here’s what families need to know about registering and planning for the day.

  • Price: $50 per person, for adults and children alike. Lunch is included.
  • Registration: Each registration must include at least one adult and one child.
  • Age: Children should be at least 6 years old.
  • Arrival: Doors open at 11 am, with snacks.
  • Lunch: Included with registration and served afterward in the ICA Miami Sculpture Garden.

I Create Art Workshop Series

This workshop is part of I Create Art, ICA Miami’s six-part series of artist-led workshops for families. Each session invites children and adults to meet a contemporary artist, learn about their practice, and make art together, then share lunch in the ICA Miami Sculpture Garden.
