I Create Art

I Create Art is an intimate six-part workshop series inviting families to experience contemporary art through direct engagement with artists whose work is represented in ICA Miami’s collection or is of special interest to the museum.
Designed for children and adults to participate together, each session offers families a unique opportunity to meet an artist, learn about their creative practice, and make art side by side. Through conversation, experimentation, and hands-on art making, the series encourages curiosity, creativity, and meaningful engagement with contemporary art across generations, followed by lunch in the ICA Miami Sculpture Garden.
The Experience
Each workshop brings a limited number of families together at ICA Miami for a highly personal and participatory experience. Families will:
- Meet the artist and hear firsthand about their work, ideas, and creative process.
- Create together through a hands-on workshop inspired by the artist's practice.
- Experiment with new materials, techniques, and ways of thinking.
- Create original artworks to take home.
- Gather for lunch in the ICA Miami Sculpture Garden following the workshop, extending the experience and building connections among participating families.
