Family Day Oct 2015
Free admission!
ICA Family Day provides children and adults the opportunity to interact with local artists through hands-on activities that allow participants to have a better understanding of contemporary art.
This upcoming Family Day will highlight works from artist Shannon Ebner’s upcoming exhibition A Public Character in the Main Gallery. A Public Character is the first major museum survey of Ebner’s ongoing series “Black Box Collision A,” which also features new work from the artist.
Activities include:
- Storytelling – A children’s storyteller will discuss themes relevant to contemporary art in an engaging, family-friendly storytelling fashion
- Exhibition I Spy – Families are invited to play an interactive exhibition game that will actively engage participants with artwork throughout the four rooms in the museum’s main gallery
- Art Activity – Children can create their own letter A based on work by the artist Shannon Ebner!
