This spring, ICA Miami proudly presents its student showcases opening on the same evening, shining a spotlight on the next generation of artists.
Spring 2026 Outreach Student Show “The Right to be Self-Published“
The Right to be Self-Published grew out of a belief that young people deserve to see themselves as authors of their own stories — literally. Over eight weeks, students explored the history and craft of zine-making alongside real conversations about creative careers and what it means to work as an artist. The work on view represents each student’s journey from first idea to finished publication, made entirely on their own terms.
Young Artists Initiative (YAI) Showcase “Dissonance“
Dissonance showcases new work by the Young Artists Initiative (YAI) class of 2026. This exhibition delves into themes of conflict and tension through bold, experimental approaches across various media.
Exhibition dates: April 18–26, 2026
Opening reception: Saturday, April 18, 3–6 PM
“The Right to be Self-Published” and “Dissonance” will be on view from Saturday, April 18th, 2026, to Sunday, April 26th, 2026.
