ICA Miami will host a professional development for M-DCPS art teachers that focuses on art criticism in the classroom and will utilize artwork in the upcoming Miriam Schapiro exhibition to explore this tool. Using activities centered on Feldman’s model of art criticism, teachers will be introduced to Schapiro’s artwork and her contributions to feminist art and the Pattern and Decoration movement. All supporting materials will be provided.
