Allan McCollum: Constructed Painting

In this project, students will reference the system of patterns and textures in artist Allan McCollum’s “Constructed Paintings” to make their own artworks.

About the Artist

Since the late 1960s, artist and sculptor Allan McCollum has created works that examine the art object’s relationship to uniqueness, context, and value, and explores the idea of the collection to reveal how we remember, care for, and privilege various material artifacts.

About the Educator

Logan Moises is the Accessibility Assistant at ICA Miami. As an integral part of both the Education and Operations departments, Logan ensures that visitors of all abilities feel welcome and meaningfully engage with the art and programs.
