Before You Arrive

Tickets
Advance tickets are highly recommended for guaranteed entry. Simply scan your confirmed ticket using a mobile device or present a printed copy of your email confirmation upon arrival. Guests who arrive without tickets may be unable to enter based on building capacity.

Personal Items
Oversized bags and luggage should be left at home. Guests who arrive with oversized bags and luggage will not be permitted in the museum. Please leave backpacks, large bags and items at home whenever possible. We are unable to store luggage of any kind or oversized bags (larger than 23″h x 12″ w x 17″).

Stay Home if You Are Sick
If you have had any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 within the past 3 days or you have had any recently known exposures to COVID-19 within the past 14 days, please stay home and postpone your visit to a future date. Anyone exhibiting signs of illness will not be permitted entry. If you have traveled internationally within the past 14 days please postpone your visit.

During Your Visit

Scan Your Ticket Upon Entry and Exit
Scan your QR code at the front desk upon entry and again when you are exiting the museum at the iPad kiosk located near to the exit.

Follow Wayfinding Signage
Wayfinding signage is posted throughout the building to reduce exposure to airborne illness. Please follow the prescribed pathways.

Social Distancing
Guests are encouraged to maintain a 6-foot distance between other individuals, groups, and museum staff while indoors.

Conduct
Guests who do not comply with museum regulations will be asked to leave the property.

Tours

ICA Miami offers free, daily tours of our current special exhibitions. They meet in the museum lobby at 12 pm, and only require a free museum ticket to join and attend.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our guests and employees is our highest priority and ICA Miami has implemented increased measures in accordance with the CDC and Miami-Dade County guidelines:

  • We have reduced our visitor capacity and implemented time ticketing to ensure social distancing.
  • We have implemented a one-way traffic flow to ensure social distancing and optimal movement throughout the galleries.
  • Plexiglass screens are in place at our front desk to provide a protective barrier between visitors and staff.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the building.
  • Restrooms will be cleaned at least every 2 hours.
  • Frequent touch surfaces will be regularly wiped down throughout the day.
  • Cashless payment options, including debit cards, credit cards, and mobile wallets have been added to minimize contact. Please note that cash will not be accepted in the store.

ICA Miami is conveniently located less than 3 miles from Downtown Miami, 5 miles from Miami International Airport and less than 7 miles from the heart of South Beach, at the intersection of Miami’s most vibrant neighborhoods, the Miami Design District.

Heading west on I-195 from Miami Beach
• Exit onto Biscayne Blvd/US1 (Exit 2B)
• From the center lane, continue west onto NE 38th St
• Turn right onto NE 2nd Ave
• Turn left onto NE 41st St

Heading east on Airport Expressway/ FL-112
• After the toll, stay to the left and exit onto I-195 east toward Miami Beach
• Exit onto Biscayne Blvd/US1 (Exit 2B)
• From exit ramp, continue west on NE 36th St for 1 mile

Valet parking is available throughout the neighborhood for $5.

Street parking is available throughout the neighborhood.

Museum Policies

Coat and Bag Check
Oversized bags and luggage should be left at home. Guests who arrive with oversized bags and luggage will not be permitted in the museum. Strollers
Strollers are welcome in most areas, however stroller access may occasionally be limited in certain galleries. Oversize and jogging strollers are not permitted. Strollers can be checked free of charge at the front desk.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on or near museum premises.

Visitor Experience
Guests are encouraged to use discretion when talking in galleries as heightened volumes may impact other guests’ experiences.

Photography
Museum guests are encouraged to take photos for personal use. However, flash, tripods and camera extension poles are not permitted. Press photographers are encouraged to contact press@icamiami.org prior to arriving at ICA Miami.

Food and Drink
Food and drink, including open containers of water, are not permitted in the galleries.

Children 12 and Under
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
