Intersubjectivity Vol II: Scripting the Human Book Launch and Panel Discussion
Join ICA Miami for a panel discussion on the newest entry in an ongoing series of books on the subject of intersubjectivity, Intersubjectivity Vol II: Scripting the Human, featuring speakers Lou Cantor, Mashinka Hakopian, Kathryn Kraczon, Katherine Rochester, and Natasha Stagg.
This collection of essays considers the relationship between performance, subjectivity, and human agency. Certain texts explore the ways in which performance is decoupled from human embodiment via forms of mediation, mechanical reproduction or simulation. Others seek to examine how performance is conceptualized. Encompassing both historical and speculative perspectives, Scripting the Human explores the ways in which non-human (or trans/post-human) entities complicate notions of subjectivity and exert intersubjective pressures of their own on social, political, scientific and philosophical discourses.
Intersubjectivity Vol II: Scripting the Human is edited by Lou Cantor and Katherine Rochester and published by Sternberg Press. This edition features contributions from Anselm Franke, Avi Alpert, Boris Groys, Erika Landstrom, Goshka Macuga, Hannah Black, Harry Burke, Jeanne Vaccaro, Josh Kline, Lucky Dragons, Mashinka Firunts Hakopian, Natasha Stagg, Sarah Harrison, Victoria Ivanova.
