Family Sundays at ICA Miami
ICA Miami’s Family Sundays series welcomes children of all abilities to engage with contemporary art through activities inspired by the museum’s exhibitions. The free, one-hour workshops engage families in hands-on art-making and creativity through storytelling, music, movement or art making (rotating weekly). Recommended for children enrolled Pre-K to 2nd grade.
No unattended children; parents/guardians are required to stay with their child.
Reserved tickets are required; tickets are available until 11:45 am on the day of the workshop.

February 1st, 2025 - Storytime with Ms. Krystal:
Join us for a musical storytime inspired by the work of artist Joyce Pensato, currently on view at ICA Miami. Explore the legacy of several iconic pop culture figures and their impact on our society with Ms. Krystal through the song and stories attached to their history!
February 8th, 2025 - Movement with Paloma Dueñas:
Use props, instruments, and other tools to emulate the gestural pop art of artist Joyce Pensato. This guided one-hour exercise will help participants understand how line quality, movement, and intensity can change how we perceive images, even of familiar characters like Mickey Mouse, Batman, and more.
February 15th, 2025 - Artmaking with Asia:
Create a Joyce Pensato–inspired artwork using a wide range of mark-making tools. Explore how different textures, materials, and techniques can dramatically shift a piece's mood. Using unconventional materials, we’ll distort familiar cartoon icons to produce bold, playful, and unexpected results.
February 22nd, 2025 - Movement with Paloma Dueñas:
Express yourself through movement in this one-hour guided exercise led by Paloma Dueñas. Shimmy through the galleries as participants explore what the colors, gestures, and imagery of each artwork evoke.
