Family Sundays at ICA Miami

Family Sundays at ICA Miami
ICA Miami’s Family Sundays series welcomes children of all abilities to engage with contemporary art through activities inspired by the museum’s exhibitions. The free, one-hour workshops engage families in hands-on art-making and creativity through storytelling, music, movement or art making (rotating weekly). Recommended for children enrolled Pre-K to 2nd grade.
No unattended children; parents/guardians are required to stay with their child.
Reserved tickets are required; tickets are available until 11:45 am on the day of the workshop.
Inspired by the work of Richard Hunt, on view at ICA Miami.
March 1: Storytelling with Ms. Krystal
Explore sculpture through story! Families will imagine how shapes move, twist, and come to life through engaging tales and group imagination.
March 8: Music & Movement with Paloma Dueñas
Move like a sculpture! Through music, imitation, and freeze dance, Paloma Dueñas guides participants in exploring curves, angles, and balance inspired by the exhibition’s abstract forms.
March 22: Artmaking with Instructor Asia Perrotti
Twist, bend, and build your own mini sculpture using foil and pipe cleaners. Inspired by Richard Hunt’s fluid metal works, participants will create whimsical tabletop forms that move and leap through space.
March 29: Music & Movement with Paloma Dueñas
Discover new ways to move and express shape through rhythm and motion. This playful session invites families to experiment with slow and fast movement while responding to sculptural forms in the gallery.
